Tripearl Games is poised to unveil the early access of their highly anticipated Soulslike creation, 'V.E.D.A.'
Founded by four industry veterans boasting over two decades of collective experience, Tripearl Games swiftly developed their prototype utilizing Unreal Engine 5, garnering widespread acclaim for its meticulously crafted combat mechanics within 2 months. Dubbed 'V.E.D.A.,'
this title represents a fusion of full 3D action with Rougelite progression elements, seamlessly combined with the Soulslike combat mechanics. Termed the 'Soulslite' genre by its creators, this innovative blend caters to both hardcore enthusiasts and casual gamers alike, promising a captivating experience for the masses.
Since its debut at BIGS 2022, 'V.E.D.A.' has been showcased at various gaming expos, including TGS 2023, resonating positively with audiences worldwide.
Tripearl Games’ excellence in game design has been validated through awards such as securing Top 3 placement and Playstation's Pick at the 17th Gyeonggi Game Audition, claiming the Stove Indie Special Award at BIGS 2023, and The Most Anticipated Game Award at the G-Star Indie Awards.
Supported by the game's exceptional quality, Tripearl Games has successfully secured multiple rounds of funding, including a Seed round from Kona Venture Partners in 2022, selection as a TIPS startup in 2023, additional Seed funding from Korea OMEGA-Big Bang Angels, Pre-A series funding from Hana Ventures and Kona Venture Partners, among others.
These investments have facilitated a significant expansion of the development team, with the company scaling up its workforce by ten employees.
Capitalizing on this expanded capacity, Tripearl Games has recently launched its Steam store page and is vigorously promoting 'V.E.D.A.' to a wide audience. Notably, the company has observed a high concentration of wishlists in Japan, a testament to the anticipation among Soulslike enthusiasts in a region synonymous with the Soulsike origins.
Drawing upon user feedback, Tripearl Games is committed to refining the current demo build and is slated to initiate the early access of 'V.E.D.A.' in the fourth quarter of this year. Additionally, plans are underway for the official launch of 'V.E.D.A.' in early 2025, spanning PC and console platforms to cater to the global market.
Meanwhile, Tripearl Games has commenced production on its second title, slated to adapt the beloved Kakao Entertainment global webtoon IP, 'The Player Who Can't Level Up.'
Looking ahead, the company envisions solidifying its position as a leading force in the global action gaming landscape, with ambitious projects on the horizon, including an open-world Soulslike adventure set in the expanded universe of 'V.E.D.A.,' aptly titled 'Project B.'
