NCSOFT today launched a teaser website to announce the expansion of its online game platform, PURPLE, into a comprehensive game service platform.
Starting September 10, NCSOFT will begin offering PC game title distribution through PURPLE. On launch day, PURPLE will unveil its PC game lineup and release dates on the PURPLE Store and its brand page.
With this expansion, PURPLE will evolve into a fully-fledged gaming platform featuring a diverse range of PC online games, extending beyond NCSOFT’s own IPs. Initially launched in 2019, PURPLE has been NCSOFT’s cross-play platform for its PC and mobile games.
As a comprehensive gaming platform, PURPLE will provide new systems for game-build distribution and store settings to support partner developers. Additionally, it will introduce several new features to elevate the gaming experience, including Cloud Saves, an Achievement System, and other enhancements, which will be available with upcoming title releases.
