Dynamis One, a new development company founded by the key developers of “Blue Archive,” has been actively revealing the key visuals of their new project, showcasing the features of the upcoming game.
Dynamis One is led by Park Byeong-lim, the former PD of “Blue Archive” at NEXON Games, along with Kim In, Yang Joo-young, and Im Jong-gyu, who were major developers for “Blue Archive.” The company has set out its ambition to "realize the dreams of otaku."
The development of their new game, “ProjectKV,” is currently underway at Studio Araya. The project name was first announced to the public in May, and in August, a teaser promotion video was released, marking the start of significant developments.
The video emphasized the keywords '寮' (dormitory), '輪' (ring), and '刀' (sword). It also featured phrases like, "You will find your sword there," and "The forest of princes has been burned, and the tree of enlightenment cut down without a trace. Thus, we have decided to establish an academy on this land." These appeared alongside words such as practitioners, students, and circular light.
From the information released so far, it is being hinted that “ProjectKV” will be a nostalgic academy action-drama featuring girls wielding swords, with users speculating that it will be a game where beautiful girls engage in sword-based combat.
Following this, Dynamis One has sequentially released key visuals for “ProjectKV,” which show major characters seemingly traveling to their destination using the “Nayuta No.7 Railway.”
Additionally, the style of the that uniforms the characters wear seems to belong to the past, as does the design of the train and the appearance of the buildings, along with scenes of the characters using flip phones instead of smartphones, suggesting a setting that is not in the near future but is instead in the past.
Particularly noteworthy in the latest key visuals is the circular halo floating above a character's head, which is reminiscent of the halo seen above characters in “Blue Archive.”
Several rings of light, similar to the rings of light centered around the pillars of light seen in “Blue Archive,” were also observed in the sky of the key visual. Notably, one of the primary keywords for “ProjectKV” is “광륜,” which translates to “wheel of light.”
As a reference point, the keyword emphasized by “Blue Archive” was summer and refreshment, while the game used a lot of blue colors and bright, vibrant visuals. In contrast, the key visuals shown for “ProjectKV” thus far suggest themes of autumn and warmth.
Thus, some users, after seeing this, have begun calling the game “Red Archive” and speculating whether “ProjectKV” could be a spin-off or an expansion of the “Blue Archive” IP. There has also been speculation that “ProjectKV” could be an abbreviation of Kivotos, the main setting of “Blue Archive.”
Dynamis One is expected to clear up this curiosity by revealing detailed information about the game on September 1st. Currently, a countdown ending at 6 PM on September 1st is ongoing on the official website of “ProjectKV.”
