NCSOFT's flagship MMORPG “Lineage2M” has been attracting significant attention ahead of a major update with the introduction of a new server, called “Aden.” This has garnered interest from both returning and new players, while the existing servers anticipate changes in relation to class care and the introduction of mounts.
Launched in November 2019, “Lineage2M” has led the mobile MMORPG market by creating various milestones and has consistently ranked high on the charts for nearly five years, with its new gameplay and play styles.
On August 21, NCSOFT will implement significant changes to “Lineage2M.” The new server, Aden, will introduce elements that will differentiate it from existing servers and it will operate as a completely fresh server without merging processes with existing servers.
Notably, “Lineage2M” on the Aden server has removed some restrictions that resulted in limitations for players. In particular, the game has liberalized class changes and decided not to introduce pay-to-win promotions and collectible tokens. This is aimed at preserving the value of the currency held by players.
Furthermore, a ceiling system has been introduced for classes and for Agathion pets. Initially, only one legendary of each type will be opened, allowing more players to easily compete in the upper ranks. One of the core elements of the new server is the plan to reduce the spending burden of players by limiting the sale of pay-to-win currency items.
With the opening of the new server Aden imminent, “Lineage2M” is seeing renewed interest from players. New players who found it challenging to enter due to the extensive existing game content, as well as returning players who had left the game, are now focusing their attention on this development, making it a hot topic once again.
In particular, the game has been receiving positive responses by presenting its most hardcore and top-tier content as restricted. The game has undergone rebalancing, changing the growth probability to 100% for Spirit Inscription: Spiritshot, and initially blocking world dungeons, arena dungeons, and master dungeons, thereby allowing players to focus purely on competition.
Initially, only six types of classes will be introduced: one-handed swords, dual blades, daggers, bows, orbs, and staves. Additionally, a variety of events will provide a season pass and free hero skills, thus lowering the barriers to entry, which is a unique feature of the new server Aden.
The new server's system that are without hurdles and the fast growth elements in “Lineage2M” are likely to have a positive impact. NCSOFT is now gearing up to meet its players' expectations with promotions such as a 1+1 hero giveaway and the Antharas raid.
Additionally, its existing servers will undergo massive updates with anticipated class care for spears and crossbows, and new content such as Nephilim's Wonderland and the introduction of mounts. NC SOFT is also stepping up to support the Discord community for smooth communication with players, aiming for a more player-friendly style of game management.
