KRAFTON has opened a pop-up store event for its flagship title “PUBG: Battlegrounds” in Seongsu, Seoul, showcasing a variety of user experience events.
“PUBG: Battlegrounds” remains highly popular in the global market, as KRAFTON's leading survival shooting game. This year, it has maintained its popularity through various collaborations and the continuous hosting of eSports tournaments.
In return, KRAFTON has organized this pop-up store for passionate fans. The “PUBG Seongsu” pop-up is designed to be an experiential store, where visitors can enjoy various activities and purchase official merch at the official merch zone on-site.
The “PUBG Seongsu” pop-up store, which began operating on August 1st, is scheduled to run until October 27th. It promises to offer fresh and fun experiences to visitors by changing its themes periodically. The first theme, which encapsulates the summer atmosphere, will be showcased during the “Summer Vibes” event that runs every Thursday to Sunday, from August 1st to 18th.
The overall atmosphere of “Summer Vibes” has been crafted around the jungle concept of Sanhok, one of the iconic maps in the “PUBG: Battlegrounds” game. It includes a surfing experience zone, an arcade zone, and a brand collaboration zone, all designed to let users become fully immersed in the summer vibe, which has been drawing significant attention.
From the first day of its operations, “PUBG Seongsu” attracted a large number of visitors. This pop-up store is accessible through pre-booking and on-site registration, and all of its August reservations have been filled due to the high demand.
For “PUBG: Battlegrounds” fans, the event offers various activities that reflect the game's key features, such as a photo zone, apple throwing, frying pan ping pong, and water gun shooting. Uniquely, a surfing experience zone has also been set up, allowing users to engage in activities that are different from typical pop-up stores.
The venue also features various relaxation areas and a promotional booth for the upcoming “PUBG: Battlegrounds” international tournament, the 'PUBG Nations Cup (PNC)' set for September. Additionally, collaboration shirts and booths from official sponsors have been installed to provide a diverse and enjoyable experience for visitors.
“PUBG Seongsu” has been uniquely designed to transform the space into a “PUBG: Battlegrounds” environment. The decor includes the “PUBG: Battlegrounds” graffiti art, as well as a giant Level 3 helmet, and other structures reminiscent of the game, adding a distinctive touch.
After the summer season, “PUBG Seongsu” is planning to introduce various themes. In September, an art exhibition based on the “PUBG: Battlegrounds” IP titled “Urban Canvas” will be displayed, followed by “Alliance” and other unique collaboration themes.
