WEBZEN is undergoing a transformation. Breaking free from the image of a company that only creates MMORPGs, it has ventured into the subculture genre. In 2024, its subsidiary WEBZEN NOVA is set to unveil a new title called "Terbis."
Subculture games typically focus on storytelling and character appeal. "Terbis" has already begun activities to introduce its characters, capturing attention early on. Regular posts on its official X account (formerly Twitter) are introducing players to characters and the game world. Collectively, these posts offer a glimpse into the world "Terbis" will present.
The game's stage is Terbis, a space that coexists with Earth in a different dimension. It's a fantasy world created by the diverse thoughts and imaginations of those on Earth. The unfolding narrative seems close to what the subculture genre typically describes as another world. With issues arising in the connection between Earth and the imagination, there's a high probabilityy that an adventure to save Terbis will begin.
The force sustaining Terbis is called “Mether.” In this world, it's defined as the energy used by intellectual beings on Earth to dream or imagine. Additionally, there are Mether Handlers in the game universe, who are those who can manipulate Mether. This relationship resembles mana and mages in a fantasy game, adding credibility to the mysterious powers used by the protagonists and their companions.

Given that Terbis is a world formed by the collective imaginations of intellectual beings, various races appear. Humans, elves, and beastmen are among the four races that are similar to humans. According to the available information, humans make up the largest population among the races. The race to which dragons, and other creatures of the imagination, belong is known as the Fantastic Beasts. Additionally, menacing entities like demons have been introduced.

In addition, there are national factions like the Sacred Kingdom of Sacrum, and alliances such as the Guild Union or the Tower of Mages, and the Orient Union, formed for their mutual benefit.
