NHN is launching a number of new products, starting next year.
NHN CEO Chung Ujin, said, in a conference call to announce the company's third-quarter earnings on September 9, "We are on track with the successful launch of 'Uparu Odyssey' in October. NHN is preparing a total of 11 new games for the games industry, including casual, midcore, and social casinos, and we will continue to strengthen the growth engine of our gaming business in the future.”
In particular, the company revealed that it will be releasing a total of six new games in the next year alone. "We will proceed with the global launch of 'Uparu Odyssey,' which has successfully established itself in the domestic mobile games market, and will strengthen the gameplay of 'Darkest Days,' a zombie apocalypse game that is our first foray into the midcore genre, as its release has been postponed to next year," said Jung.
”In addition, the new Marvel slot in the social casino genre has been confirmed as ‘Pebble City’. The company is also planning to launch its own blockchain game platform, ‘Pebble,’ utilizing the mainnet ‘SUI’ in the first half of next year, to the global market excluding Korea. In the future, the company will introduce a lineup of blockchain games utilizing a differentiated commodity management technology,” Jung explained.
To conclude, Mr. Jang said, “NHN PlayArt in Japan will actively expand its market share through new products such as ‘Project G’, which is targeted for release next year, as well as ‘Project RE’ and ‘Project BA’ that are based on famous IPs and will be launched in 2025.
