Krafton will showcase a new entry in the simulation genre at the upcoming GigaStar 2023, titled "inZOI." It is a game that truly lives up to the adjective "K-Sims" and brings to mind the once-popular virtual world game "Second Life."
"InZOI" originally started its development at Bluehole Studio as "Project Blue" and was later taken over by Krafton. Positioned as a life simulation game, "inZOI" allows players to create your avatar in a virtual world that’s different from reality, where you can experience a whole new life.
While The Sims enjoyed immense popularity overseas, it didn't receive as much love in South Korea. The character appearances, game settings, and various objects were regarded as somewhat distant from local sentiments.
On the contrary, "inZOI" boasts remarkable realism, meticulously replicating South Korea's very own cities. The realistic city graphics were created using "Unreal Engine 5." Although it's a virtual world, the game incorporates numerous landmarks from South Korea, making it as authentic as any real cityscape.
One of the strengths of the game "The Sims" is the high degree of freedom it offers. In "inZOI," you similarly become the main character of your self-created story, where you are allowed to script your own narrative. You can date, get married, have children, and establish your own family, all without the fatigue that often accompanies these real-life experiences.
Moreover, you can explore different professions and find satisfaction through experiences that are distinct from your own life. This gives you a unique opportunity to lead a life different from your real one, through various human relationships within your workplace, society, and family.
When you decide to start a family in the virtual world, you'll first need a place to live. In "inZOI," you can finally create and reside in the home you've always dreamed of. Importantly, the mere existence of your self-designed home, in a reality where having one is difficult, can enhance your quality of life.
"inZOI," aspiring to be a K-Sims, will meet an audience for the first time at G-STAR 2023, held from November 16 to 19 at BEXCO in Busan. A demo version will be unveiled during the event, offering participants a glimpse into the splendid aspects of life as portrayed by "inZOI."
Furthermore, Krafton will introduce "Dark & Darker Mobile" at G-Star 2023, a game that combines the strengths of a Battle Royale and Dungeon Crawler.
